Praise the Lord, I finally bought a car! A simple used Chevrolet that will be a real blessing and time saver for me here in Fortaleza. My parents and my pastors here had been putting some pressure on me to get one in part because of the dangers of robberies, especially since I’m constantly carrying my laptop and the video equipment to and from church until we build the studio at church. Speaking of, we are about to make some purchases of video and editing equipment for the church, and I’m a big part of all the research and decision making, so I really need your prayers for that. Our church here in Fortaleza is doing a 21-day fast, seeking more of the presence of God, and interceding to reach the goals of the church until the end of the year. During this fast, I was invited to go with the pastors on a 3-day retreat where we had a very intense time of teaching from our head pastor (my Uncle Abe Huber) and lots and lots of prayer. It was so awesome! I’ve learned so much in the last several days about prayer and intercession, and praise the Lord I’ve seen so many answers to prayer. My car being one of those answers, and now I am discipling 3 guys, leading a strong cell group, and very involved in different ministries in the church. I love it!
Thanks so much for your prayers and support, they are making a huge difference! I still haven’t reached my goal of $2,000/month so if you know of any friends who are wanting to invest in a ministry and be a part of the work God is going here in Brazil, I would appreciate you telling them about me! :) The Lord has brought some friends along side me who have made short term commitments which has really, really given me a boost financially, so thank you and thank You Jesus. And again thanks for your continued prayers, I’m excited to see what God is going to do in the next couple months after this fast and as the church focuses more on prayer…it’s gonna be incredible!!!

More like a random comment. You’re arms look crazy long coming out of your new car. Lol. I’m glad you’re doing well!
Paul,
I was browsing your website because a friend of mine,Darrel Templeton, told me abut PAZ ministries. I once taught a 3 day training seminar in basic news videography for Rede Boas Novas and was interested to hear that one of the leaders at PAZ attended that seminar.
Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself and make the suggestion that you consider the JVC GY-HM100U camcorders for your video purchase. I use Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere CS3 for editing, but almost any of the popular editing software is good these days. Adobe products are great because they are well integrated.

Hi, thanks for these suggestions! I was just checking out the JVC GY-HM100U camcorder and definitely looks like a good purchase, but it might be our second camera as we already bought the SONY Z5U. We still haven’t bought our editing station, but the pastor who’s worked at the TV station says the one we buy will come with Adobe CS4 so that’s probably what we’ll be working with. I’m pretty sure it’s the standard for TV stations here in Brazil so everyone that knows video editing knows Adobe’s products. Oh, but they all use Sony Sound Forge for audio editing :) Do you know which PAZ missionary attended that seminar? Will there be another seminar like that anytime soon? I would love to participate and maybe have some others here who are going to be helping us participate as well! It would be such a blessing! God bless, Paul
